Ready your listening holes for three hours of Zombie Grrls goodness, as Ariel and Rachel dissect the Showtime horror anthology series Masters of Horror: Season One. While some episodes should have been in the Masters of Bore series, there are a few gems that belong at the top of every horror fan’s must-see list!
We also discuss the Poltergeist remake, the new trailer for the intriguingly blasphemous Legion and Ariel persists in baffling me with her desire to see Rob Zombie’s Halloween 2.

P.S. We apologize for the audio quality in the first half, its the last in the aural clusterfuck series… ah well.
Me likey Cigarette Burns, Deer Woman, and Homecoming. Somewhat surprisingly, I remember liking Fair-Haired Child.
Season 2 had two masterpieces: Sounds Like and The Black Cat
Fair Haired Child had its moments like when shes hiding in the stove thing and its scrambling around trying to find her… very creepy. But I just could not get past the art house fragrance commercial flashbacks *shudder*
My favorites are Pick Me Up & Incident on & off a Mountain road : )
I liked ‘Cigarette Burns’ and ‘Deer Woman’. Hated ‘Homecoming’ and ‘Chocolate’. Everything else was kinda meh.
What bugged me about ‘Incident’ was the part where she has her back against a tree or something, and the monster guy throws a knife at her which just misses her head. I thought “Why doesn’t she grab the knife and fight back? Well, I guess she’s not an expert…” but she WAS after all!
Homecoming was really tied to the anti-Bush American political climate at the time. I could see where it might not play well outside of the States.
