Whew, this episode is a mess! In happier news, at long last, Ariel is back! And to celebrate her return, we pump out a ramble-y mess of loosely horror-related nonsense.
Summer and Rachel catch up with all the horror we’ve been watching, talk swine flu, read all kinds of kick ass mail and wrap up Drag Me to Hell. This episode also marks the first time we make good on our website promise and review a book, Guillermo Del Toro and Chuck Hogan’s excellent The Strain. Randiskull joins us for video game talk and gives up the goods on Doom for the iPhone and Left 4 Dead 2. Rachel on the other hand has multiple nerdgasms over Fallout 3’s fantastic DLC and fresh from her hands-on at Sega spill over the upcoming kick ass “stylish action” game by the creator of Devil May Cry–Bayonetta.
Also returning for her second episode is Brianne! She and Rachel dissect the ghost-tacular A Haunting in Connecticut. Brianne also manages to commit a few felonies as we go completely off track… yeah it’s just that kind of episode, folks. Be sure to stay tuned for the outtakes to hear Summer give her best sexbomb voice.

P.S. Right now Monster Ark is on my TV on mute… interestingly enough it pretty much has the same level of quality as this episode… perhaps that means we can get a gig on the “SyFy” channel.
Scorsese’s Cape Fear remake from 1991 is a top-notch genre piece that I would argue fits well within the big tent of the horror genre.
Eyebrows also directed a horror themed episode of Amazing Tales in 86 named “Mirror, Mirror” (no relation to the Marina Sargenti pic featuring uber hottie scream queen Charlie Spradling. Meow!)
ScFy has Malibu Shark Attack on Saturday night with Peta Wilson MUST SEE TV indeed
This episode nearly made me fall off the assisted chin-up machine at the gym! I almost sustained serious injury from laughing so hard ๐
OMG that’s awesome! …erm.. I mean …be careful young lady! the Zombie Grrlz do not condone personal injury due to podcast hilarity ๐
Doh! How could i forget Cape Fear? …. consider me schooled :/
But can any syfy shark movie ever compare to Shark Attack 3? It has a man on a jet ski flying into an open Megladon mouth… case rested.
