In this episode Ariel and Rachel are hot for vamp action in the Arctic Circle with 30 Days of Night and its not-so-hot sequel, 30 Days of Night: Dark Days. We discuss what it is about those bloodsuckers that stands the test of time and why we need more vamp flicks like this pronto!
Plus, we also get some fantastic feedback and Rachel gets taken to school by one of our listeners, Ariel keeps it classy and we kick off our new homework segment with reviews of The Last House on the Left (1972) and Frankenstein (1935). And as always, don’t forget to stay tuned for the outtakes to hear Rachel bust a sad white girl rhyme and fend off a feline who’s getting a little too fresh.

Ladies, ladies….
Nosferatu doesn’t star Bela Lugosi. It stars Max Schreck!!!! Ed Wood had nothing to do with Nosferatu!
If Ariel wants to watch a nice contemporary companion piece to Nosferatu, she should watch Shadow of the Vampire with Willem Dafoe and John Malkovich. Or Herzog and Kinski’s Nosferatu.
🙂
I love Signs. And while I agree that the aliens in Signs may never have come in contact with water befor, theres still one question.
They’ve mastered space travel but they CAN’T GET THROUGHT A WOODEN DOOR?
And in all of these alien invasion movies wouldn’t it be more economical to use biological warfare or some kind of Death Ray from a great distance?
BUT. That wouldnt make much of a good movie.
